383 build

I just recieved my 96 vortec 350 short block the other day and I have a few questions about my 383 build. This engine is used but looks like it has very few miles. The cylinders still have the hone marks on them. I plan to take it apart in the morning to prepare for its trip to the machine shop for its .030 over bore and clearancing for the stroker crank. I still have to buy pistons so I can get the rotating assy. balanced. This is where you guys come in.

This is what I have.

crank Scat P/N 9-350-3750-6000-L

6" rods Scat P/N 2-ICR6000

Now I want forged SRP pistons but i'm not sure if I should get dish or flat top pistons. I'm shooting for 10.5:1 comp. I don't have heads yet so what piston/head cc combination should I go with?

Also I need advise on main and rod bearings. Are clevite 77 ok?

Rings i'm thinking plasma-moly but i'm not gonna fool with the file fit ones.

I need a harmonic balancer and a flywheel. The scat crank is internally balanced so which balancer should I get? I don't need SFI.

I will be posting pics as I go.

Thanks for the inputs in advance guys

i go with dished psitons, i'd use anything BUT clevite bearings, you'd need a dampner and flyweel for an internal ballanced engine

If you can go with dished pistons and small combustion chambers. Depends on the dish, with a zero deck, a .041" gasket, and say the SRP dish pistons (-16cc), you'll need the combustion chamber volume to be around 57cc to get around 10.5, just to give you an idea. Maybe go with Federal Mogul bearings. What heads were you planning on using?

I chose SRP flat tops with -5cc valve reliefs to give me 10.1:1 with 72cc heads. Looks like I will order my trick flows on friday.

For bearings I went with the federal mogul H series.
