Battery Compartment floor

is there anything that i can put between my battery and the base of the compartment to keep the bottom from getting a gunked up and rusted (such as a sheet of aluminum foil or some type of material)?

Best bet is a battery box (made from heavy tough plastic). Can get them at boat shops and such for a reasonable price. May need to change the hold down setup. But there won't be any corrosion
