Fan problems.......

My fan isn't starting by itself anymore. I have to pop the hood and tap it. The former owner re-wired it himself. ERR. When I do get it started it doesn't ruin as fast or sound like it normally does. I'm not sure what the problem is. Any ideas, how much should I expect to pay to fix it?

Yes I'm talking about the radiator fan

I'll be darn, they let you run around on the street with the lights and decals? And the wording "State Police".

How'ed you pull that off?

Re: Your Fan. Seems like you have it figured out (new fan time), but don't discount a poor connection.

Quick call to th AP store should get you a price.

The Lights have to be no functional. (They secertly are, for car shows) And it isn't allowed to match my states colors and I had to pay for a permit.

I paid $20 for a new fan motor, that may be what you need if your fan osn't running as fast as it should. But you can diagnose whether the motor is fine or not by using an electrical continuity tool.

Do you think i should just replace the fan motor?? The thing isn't running at all today. And the car will heat up in like 15 mins now. So I'm wondering what to do. I dunno if I should take it to a shop or replace it myself. I'm hoping its just the fan motor.
