okay first i got a new fuel pump about a month ago and it has been surging when i acclerate from a stop it only does this in the lower rpm's. if i punch it it doesnt do it. Another thing is my car is running alot hotter this summer could my car be running lean now with the new fuel pump? any suggestions will be appreciated thanks

Maybe a stupid question..did you change the fuel filter?

 

i changed it about 3 or 4 months before i changed the fuel pump. do you guys think the fuel filter could really have that type of an effect on my car?

running hotter could be the thermostat sticking a bit or incorrect mixture of antifreeze and water..

change both, check your hoses while you're at it

 

changed the thrmostat twice already i bought a 160 stat i live in phoenixc we need the lower ones. i have only one puller 16" fan and have intalled to pushing fans one is a 12" and the other is a 10" i am going to check my hoses since they have been on the car for a while.

any other suggestions?
