Need Help Immeditaly

i just tried to switch my shifter out for a b and m mega shifter it didnt fit so i put my old one back in and now my car wont start i think its my kill safety switch but it seems to be hooked up correctly if what im looking at is the kill safety switch there are only two things that see thet need to be hooked up and both are hooked up correctly does anyone know whats wrong or can help

Its gotta be your neutral safety switch. It is a little plastic tab that rides ih the side of the shifter. It is located on the passenger side and has a wiring harness to it.

i hooked that up to the shifter and it still doesnt want to start so it looks to me as if im screwed

Self-inflicted wounds hurt the worst.

Disconnect the shifter electrical connector, check all the pins to see if one is bent/damaged/whatever.

hey i got it guys thanx for the help the plastic clip was broken and it wasnt holding it in so i duct taped it in lol ducttape is a mans best friend
