EGR Solinoid...Help?

Engine: 305TPI stock
Transmission: TH700R stock
EGR Solinoid...Help?
I started to take apart my TPI today to start my plenum polishing project an found what I assume is my EGR solinoid dangling by it's connections behind the engine. Does anyone know where it's SUPPOSED to be? It's still attached to its bracket and there are two bolt holes on it. Does it attach to the back of the passengerside head?
(Unfortunately I'm still dicovering the previous owners experiments.)

I believe it attaches to the manifold on the passenger side next to the distributor.You'll know when you have it mounted correctly,it will be in the way when you tighten down the dist clamp.
