will these heads work?
hello again,
my brother in law just bought a house and he gave me a set of heads i found in the garage. here are the casting numbers i found on them.on the top of the head the #'s are
3748772,gm2,a28,and 13. on the underside they are ci5,58,and772. and on the side by the exaust ports i found x58,,,I know the 3748772 is tha casting number,What do the rest of the numbers mean? I found a website that has gm casting#'s,and it said that they are 283 heads off of a 58-61 fuel injected corvette.Is that right? they have a 69cc chamber, 1.72 intake,and 1.50 exaust. My question is are they good heads? Will they work on my l69 305? Will they work better than the stock l69 heads? Also what would the
69cc chamber do to my compression....???
