305 TPI motor in 86 Z28 died. I have had it with the TPI setup. I am putting a 355 w/ carb setup back in. Can someone tell me what type of fuel pressure regulator to install? Can I use the existing fuel lines? Where would be a good place to get 12 volts for the distributor? What do I need to do to the trans.(700Rr) to make it shift and lock up the convertor without the computer? What wire runs the tach.? Please,any help would be appreciated..............

 

The only FPR to get is a Mallory 3-port. Use the current lines and leave the stock fuel pump hooked up and working.

Other than that...good luck.

Personally I think you're making a bad choice, but its your car, Do what you want to it.

i've done that swap on an 86 trans am. your going to have to get a sending unit for a carb model. we picked this one up at the junk yard for 15 bucks. also going to need a new tv cable for the trans. thermostat housing and distributor also.
