what are the differences in relays
What causes a car to call for two different relays for the same application? ie maf power
Are the oval relays better than the square ones?
Is it better to convert an 86 IROC TPI to the oval relays?

Replace relays with the same type. Otherwise it may not have the same rating or connections in the same position. Don't chop up wires for the sake of saving a few dollars on a relay. They are fairly cheap.
