Hyd lifters and pushrod lenght

I search, but have only found on how to do this with a solid lifter in place.

I need to get the correct pushrod length. I cant install a solid lifter. And I have a adj pushrod. Whats the procedure?

i'd look first at what the maker of the length checker had to say. why can't you install a solid lifter? seems if your in a position to need to check length you could swap out a pair of lifters. adjust the length to minmize the amount the rocker tip moves or contacts the valve.

I used a solid lifter to check mine. The lifter was much shorter than a hydraulic style, so I needed a length checker with more range to get a proper reading. I used a dial indicator to check the difference in the lifter heights, and subtracted that length from the measurement.

The heads and intake is already installed..

do you know for a fact the length isn't right? if you don't check it as it is now. if it needs changed it's time to remove the intake, again. sort of like putting the cart before the horse not checking push rod length untill after you get the intake back on.

I heard you can check the length with hyd lifter. Just dont know how.
It whas my fault that I dident chek the length before i put the intake on. So I just need to make the best of it..
