we finally got this car timed right and the cold and warm idles set but we have a problem. no matter if the car is warm or cold when u first start it it will not idle until it kicks up after about 20 or 30 seconds then it idles fine. some times the idle will drop to below 500 then stall out before it kicks up. what could this be?
anyhelp would be appreciated

Well mine is exactly the other way around. When it first starts up it will idle at 1500rpm til I smash the gas after 15 to 20 sec.Sorry im no help but, does it idle rough or pretty smooth?

 

it idles fairly smooth once it starts idling, im thinking maybe something with the choke but im not sure. stll no idea though..
