non third gen question
I have a 1990 chystler new yorker. when I turn the key it takes a while(about 15 sec.) to turn on, when it turns on I have to keep my foot on the gas because it will turn off if I dont. I recently replaced the fuel filter(after the problem started)the plugs the wires the distributor cap & rotor. what could be the problem.
P.S. its a 3.0 v6 mpfi

I would reccomend checking everthing 1 more time. Its possible the fuel pump is going or plugged injectors. If you dont find the problem replace the computer. The ECM's in dodges are crap and crap out alot. I worked in my parents shop for two years and the computer is the 1st that is changed when a problemd chystler appeared and it fixes it 90% of the time.

Could also be the TPS but that would be more of a highway driveability problem unless its really out of whack.
