Ok.. I tried cracking up my 335 stroker for the first time today. Here is what it does. It starts and runs for about 5 to 10sec then dies... symptoms are: Alternator pulley gets too hot to touch. I see fuel vapor or something shoot out of the carb once and awhile. Engine turns over kinda slow. The alternator pulley is turning. I thought it might be locked up or something. BTW - I did just put 5 gallon of fresh 91 in it... I think I got all the old out. Any ideas?

Just read my post.. I was cranking up the engine... hahaha... I hope I wasn't cracking it up...

 

Could be a timing issue causing the slow crank and vapor issue, maybe retard it a bit and see how it goes.

Not sure on the Alt.
