L98 wont start
I have an L98 and I used almost all of the gas (there was only one orange bar left on the gas gauge) This was 3 days ago. Today I went to start it after putingabout 2 gallons of gas in it and it wont start. It started for a second or two but then shut off. I tried it somore and it turns over but wont start. Could this be my fuel filter? I can hear my fuel pump come on when i turn the key. Any other ideas? And how hard is it to replace a fuel pump if it is my problem?

Try the filter first. Its on the frame rail behind the driver side door. Also let the pump prime the rails several times before cranking it. Turn the key on let it sit for 10 secs then off...then on again let it sit... do this about 4 times.

Check to see if you have spark... If no spark then check your cap and rotor. The modules LOVE to go bad. Have your local parts store run a check on it to see if its still good.

Codes? Fuel pressure? You could have gotten that pump really hot as the thirdgen cars have a wacky fuel guage (ie. 1/2 tank really = 1/4 tank). I'd do a quick walk through of spark, fuel and MAF and then worry about anything else. If it were the filter, one would think the car would have died previously. Hope for something other than the pump.
