Did anyone see that Horsepower TV, or Crank and Chrome or whatever the hell show it was where they had the Firebird station wagon? What do yall think of it?

what the hell? I'd be embarrassed to drive a station wagon. Sorry guys :P Unless its loaded with chicks, car audio, and a nice aftermarket interior, station wagons are not for me.

Not even 10 second, big block powered, gas guzzling, obnoxiously loud (sorry if that's misspelled ) station wagons?

Hey one eye,
that car was full of speakers, and with me driving it, it would be full of chicks. I wouldn't buy that car, but I'd drive it everywhere for free.

I saw the Firebird wagon model for the second and third gens.. I don't think it ever made it into production (wonder why...)

I'd like to get my hands on one, just because of the rarity of it.

What your thinking of is a Firebird Type K. It was produced in 1978 and 1979 only 2 were ever built. They never went into production because no one want a Sportscar Wagon AKA. Sport Utility Wagon. Subaru Says they had the first one, that pure

if that was a third gen wagon U saw at the junk yard, and it wasn't totaled and I had the money I would pick it up in a second, GM only made about 10 prototypes of those so I have heard.

I've never even heard of them. Things are ugly as hell but if I saw one in a junk yard I would buy it, you know it's got to be worth a lot of money to someone

I wonder if GTAuto could make up one of those hatches...
It'd kick *** for road trips. a Utility Sporty Vehicle

A Sporty Utility Vehicle would be something like a 421SD Tri-Power Catalinia Wagon. Four doors and three carbs.......Oh, yeah

gm had a concept 4th gen firebird wagon. it looked better than the 2nd and 3rd gen versions. I'd buy it, you get utility with awesome performance and it's just as easy to mod as any other firebird. You could haul skis, bikes, girls, people, and of course ***!!

Too bad i'm in the minority and gm couldn't make money with it. I guess that goes for regular camaros and firebirds too.

Re: Firebird station wagon...

I saw one on the net somewhere. It was fabricated using parts off an S10 Blazer.

You can build anything if you have enough time and money. I remember back in the 70's, somebody built a 4 door Corvette. I've also seen where someone took a 96 Caprice and made it into a 2 door.

People have also built ElCamaro's.

Wagons have always been cool. Not the huge boat models from the 70's, other than wagons like from Ghostbusters (hearses and ambulances), but things like 2 door Nova and Chevelle wagons, Pinto wagons etc. What people like to call SUV's now are just oversized wagons but have nothing in common with a real wagon as they're classified trucks.
