Fuel system question (all new stuff)
Hey guys. I got a question regarding upgrading my fuel system.
Currently, the car is a carbed 383 sbc. It used to be a tbi car. I am still using the stock TBI pump (with a million miles), stock fuel lines, a holley regulator and a parts store relay to run the show. The way I have it wired is when the ignition key is on, it pumps. I ran the stock tbi with this pump, then a carbed 355 for 6 years, and now a 383. I just ordered a 9" diff and new exhaust, and I would like to tacle this project when all the other parts are already removed. So....
What power level can the stock fuel lines support?
Is there a fuel cell one can buy that "bolts in" to the stock location? Or, is my best bet to find a new tank, new pickup and sender, and install a holley blue somewhere under the car?
My fuel tank is old and rusty, and my sender is not working for years now. It all needs to go. Any sugguestions? Thanks guys.

If it were me, I'd find a good tank in the JY. An original carb type would be first choice (be sure to replace the pickup sock), but an in-tank electric can easily be converted to a "regular" pickup while the tank is out anyway.
A cell just isn't called for on the street.
