I am going to chack my egr as soon as I can get some time, but b4 that I want to ask if anyone has had the egr stick OPEN , and what the symptoms were ?
I am getting code 53, which sometimes means high voltage at EGR. My symptoms are
A) car won't hold idle B) car runs rough, smooths out a bit over 40 mph. C) Stalls under 15 to 20 mph unless you keep your foot on the gas somewhat. D) Smell of unburned gas, snd some other weird smell coming out exhaust pipe. Plugs are carbon-fouled.

I am not getting the classic 32 egr code, though, just the 53.

Sound like EGR stuck OPEN ? Anyone ever have this happen ?

I haven't had it on my camaro, but I had the EGR on my S10 stick open. It idled terrible and stalled out regularly. It also ran rich. The unburned gas smell was so bad it made my eyes water. The only code it threw was one for running rich at oxygen sensor. I replaced the EGR and it ran A LOT better.

They charge pretty low prices in comparison to that of a dealer or even a parts place. Try them out it could save you some money. They are a car dealership in Winston-Salem, North Carolina.
