383 stroker help
I have a bored 5.7 with a 400 crank, is it externally balanced? I have a vibration around 2k. Without the tranny, and anything bolted to flywheel there is no vibration. Please help

If it's an actual 400 crank, and not a 3.75" crank specifically built as a stroker with 5.7" or longer rods, then it will be externally balanced. If it's an actual stroker crank, purpose-built for making a 383, and it has rods 5.7" or longer, then it will most likely be internally balanced.
There's WAY too many variables to be able to answer that question over the Internet.
Ask your machinist what he did when he balanced it, and what spec he left it at. He's the only one that will know for sure. All anybody else can do is guess and tell you about "generally" and "probably" and "likely".
