Exhaust on a TA
I just bought my first 3rd gen, and I heard theres no way you can do a true dual exhaust do to the floor boards in the way. So I looked and it seems to be true.
So i have to use a Y- pipe and split it into 2 pipes towards the back of the car....the question is what size exhaust pipes should i go with for the best flow and power?

You heard wrong. You may have to be creative and have some fabrication skills, but it is very doable. Paired pipes in the channel or oval tubing are the two easiest ways I can think of off hand...

exhaust
if i'm not mistakin there is a set for your third gen factory. it has 2 cats and a bent pipe for each exhaust manifold. the cats sit where your single cat sits now and the system looks alot like the one you have now. the y pipe is after the cats and goes to a 3inch intermedit than to your cat back muffler. i know i saw it in one of the exhaust books at my local auto parts store.

i really liked that one set up where the two pipes go to the driver side i would think it was, and come out right before the back tire. looks real cool, prolly sounds nice as well
