whats a good cam for a carbed 350 with vortec heads. car has a th400 trans with a ford 9" rear detroit locker and 4.11 gears. its mainly a drag car with very very limited street use. we're not looking for a 10 second car or anything. just the fastest we can go on a very limited budget 85 camaro. the heads are already machined to accept a high lift cam.

 

Are you using/willing to use upgraded springs? Are you modifying/willing to modify the guides & rocker studs for additional lift?

Those shouldn't be budget-busters, but will make a big difference in performance potential.
