Buzzing Sound From Engine when key on, engine off

Maybe I just never noticed it before and it was already there, but I think I have a new sound coming from the center front of my engine. A buzzing, whirring, medium-pitched sound, when the key is on, engine off. What might that be ? Thanks

Start unplugging items untill it goes away. I have seen solenoids, alternators, etc.. all do this.

it's the IAC-valve, touch it and you'll feel it.

GTA,

If the sound only lasts for a few seconds, it could be the fuel pressure regulator bleeding off pressure to the return line. If you suspect this, monitor the fuel pressure while the noise is occurring. If the noise stops when the pressure drops, you've found it.
