Could this cost me 150 bucks?

My EGR seems to be leaking but not from the adapter gasket. Is there perhaps a gasket in between the solenoid and the base that may save me $150.00 I havent really had a chance to look at closely but it looks like it comes apart. If it were leaking from the adapter, i could simply replace the gasket, but this doesnt look good.

Here's a pic. If the missing screw hasn't been removed by you then it may have broken off. That would also cause the leak.

Missing screw

Cool, i had no idea it may be that simple, unless it is broken off. I recently purchased the car so Im not too sure of what might have happened. I havent gotten my manual yet so I appreciate the pic. I guess I'll be yanking that off to see if theres a bolt down there. If so I'll tap it out. I can only imagine how long it been like that, I purchased it about a month ago, so who knows the extent of the damage. I must say, I love my F-body but uits starting to nickle and dime me to death
Thanks again though!

I hate to tell you, but I searched and searched, and the baseplate gasket is not sold separately anywhere. The 3.1 was only used in this application from '90-'92, the earlier 2.8's used an entirely different EGR system.

I drilled out the broken screws, tapped the holes in the lower part to 10/32, and made a gasket of high temp thick paper. It worked for a little while, until I found a near new EGR on a car in the junkyard.

A complete new EGR for these cars is nearly $200.00.

I think my issue is the missing bolt as Rbob pointed out. I Still havent had a chance to see if its broken off or not. I feel ya on the price though, a buck fifty was a bit hard for me to comprehend.

Ok, all back to normal and actually two of the bolts had broke. On ewas still in place though so it didnt look broke. Once I tapped them out it was simply a matter of fiing new bolts (hint: 4-.7 is the size) Now the only question will be how much carbon build up has occurred.
