I just instaled new plugs, wires, cap, rotor and coil. Cap, rotor and coil are msd. When i put the coil wire on the coil it felt fine then i went to put other end on cap the tip on the coil broke off. this is a gm/blaster coil. it lookes like amanufacturing defect becouse the middle of tip is hollow. has anyone had a problem with msd products before. could this be a bad lot.returned it today 7/30 for new one will post how it works later.

Damn! How far away is your coil mounted? I have plenty of slack with mine, I don't think I could break it.. Anyway, just return it to where you bought it and get a new one.

 

its right next to dist,. i was putting the coil wire on the cap with a loop in the wire and it just fell off the coil. i did'nt put that much force on the coil either.
