what's a good "keyed" source for fuel pump/distributor ?
what's a good "keyed" source for fuel pump/distributor ?
I'm wondering where should I hook up both of those ?
obviously the electric fuel pump needs to be "key on" source only , and I'm not sure about the distributor (vaccum advance).
for the distributor I would like to use the original wireing , but of course the plugs don't "match" so I would have to splice it , but my LG4 dis. had two pig tails with I think 9 wires , so I have no clue which one I should use... my haynes manual is missing the "electrical chart" page
, bastard misprinted those few pages and they are unreadable
so what should I use ?
I would like to hook up both to the same source so in case they both stop working then I know where to go to fix it... plus if one works and the other one doesn't I'll know that it's not a power issue....
soo...
any recommendations for a good "key on" source only ?

If you look on your fuse panel you should have 2 open plugs for accessories that you can use for "key on". Just use spade terminal to connect to the box.
As for the distributor you shouldn't have to splice anything. When I swapped my distrib for a vaccum I had to change nothing just plug the plugs into the coilsockets. the 4-5 wire pigtail that went to the CC you just don't use anymore.
