On my emission decal somebody wrote MAF 518. I looked inside my maf, there is no screen but an thin wire that makes 2 90 degree bends (an upside down U) and a small post thats in the middle. They sit in a heatsink looking base. Id this a new or replaced one ? Any clues ?

It's probably the stock MAF with the screens removed. Your emmisions place looks at your MAF?? Man..that's rough
