an 88 TBI 5.0 5spd 123k iroc-z body needs a little work interior is good, or an 83 with a mildly built 350 1k that doesnt run up to par and has a bad interior and a th350 that doesnt shift into third. the 88 is going for $2750 and the 83 is going for $2500. thanks for any help

 

both sound overpriced. at least they are if they were being sold over here on the east coast where even nice looking camaros can be had for under 2k.

 

 

neither IMO, but I'd probably get the one with the 350 in it, just because swapping to a 350 later on is ... expensive and time consuming to say the least.

Interior you'll be able to replace for much cheaper. The trans you can find the proper one in a junkyard for not too much, or if you want a T5 then you can always buy one from a aftermarket vendor... either way you'd have the performance aspect heh.

Make sure it's a 350 is all that I can say really. Go to www.mortec.com and look at how to check the numbers. That way you arent being jipped.

im getting the 83. the 88 had too much underbody rottage. my friend who looked at the cars knows the guy who is selling the 83 and can get it at a wholesale price for me.
