This is not my car its my uncles car. He has an 85 Z28 Camaro with a 305 HO engine. at a stop light or stop sign the car wants to take off like the idle gets really high. Im doing a burn out while im on the brakes. Then if you try to turn it off it starts to diesel?? This happens most of the time. He told me once that he just turned on the A/C and it fixed the problem at the time. ANy ideas??

 

sounds like the timing is WAY advanced. check ALL connections to the dizzy. also, check to see if the choke is getting stuck open.
