Ignition lock question

My ignition lock cylinder is toast. I bypassed the VATS and gutted the lock. So right now the engine will start with no key. My question is, is there a standard lock cylinder that will fit my steering column, or do I have to get a new VATS cylinder?

If you have already successfuly bipassed the VATS then you should be able to go to a junk yard and get a new/used lock cylinder, WITH KEYS, make sure you get the keys, duh right? I have seen quite a few of them in the cars with keys hanging out of them so . . . Now if you want to keep the VATS, that is a whole different ball game. Might want to seek some one elses help. I am not 100% sure of how deep into the computer the VATS is tied to.

Just changed my cylinder, not a VATS.

If ya can start it now a cylinder here in Ontario is about 30$ from the dealer and it comes with 2 keys
