I notice now when i start my car in the morning that there is some white smoke that comes out of the exhaust...i have an 84 camaro with a 305..carburated...also i notice now that its warm and my windows are down...that when i step on the gas hard a weird smell comes from my motor..any ideas

 

White "smoke" (actually steam or water vapor) on cold startup is completely normal. If it persists once the engine and exhaust system is warmed up, you may have a problem. If it disappears once the exhaust is heated (and dried) there is no cause for concern.

As for the "weird smell", that's not much to go on. Any better description? Missing any cats or ferrets?

 

well the smoke kinda of smells...and for when im drving the car its not like a dead animal smell and it only happens when i get on it..
