Well I had my interior panels and carpet out for cleaning and to fix some rattles and rust in the floor, and in the process I got one of the rear seatbelt to floor bolts stuck. It came out normally a little and then just froze up. I've used a mapp gas torch and wd-40 you name it. I called a couple machine shops and a muffler shop and they won't touch it. Can I grind this thing off? I'm basically going to try, just wondering if anyone had advice - a machine shop guy said to bust off the head and drill it out, but it's torx so I don't think that's possible. Thanks for any advice.

 

Why not just take a sawzall or hack saw and cut off the head punch and drill the bolt? Seems possible if you need that to hold down a seat or seat belt.

 

You will have to buy a carbide blade for the sawzall to cut through that bolt.

I don't understand how a bolt gets "stuck" especially after it's been started out. Put a bigger handle on your ratchet or breaker bar and work it back and forth, and it'll come out. Trust me I've done this before, cutting and drilling should be your very very last options.
