i plan on droppin a 400 SB in but need to kno a few things.
1. is 895 a resnable price for the long block? its from www.tbolt.net fully tested n rebuilt n machined??
2. what parts from my current LO3 305 are compatible wiht the 400?
3. would i have to creat my own wiring harness to compliment changin to a carburator.. or just modify the existing one?

I can't help with the tech but I think its a good price on the engine. I payed $950 for the one in my truck from a good machine shop.
i went to your link, it looks like those are stock replacement engines. in the case of the stock 400, it would come with 76cc heads. < 8.5 compression ratio. also the stock heads don't have the extra exhaust manifold bolt hole which is required for stock f-body exhaust manifold. so what i'm getting at is that you might want to go with a short block and supply your own choice of heads. also they list a core price. i assume that means that if you don't have a core they charge an additional $175 for a 2 bolt short block.

Couldn't get to your link, but you need to know if it's internally or externally balanced. If internal, any 2 piece RMS flywheel will fit from 86-back.
You'll need an oil pan w/driver's side dipstick. Exhaust isn't an issue if you run headers. You'll choke the h*ll out of it with stock exhaust manifolds anyway.
If external balance, you'll have to run a 400 balancer, and either get an offset weight for the flywheel - have yours "unbalanced" or buy an aftermarket flywheel.
Most everything else is a direct swap AFAIK....

Cleaned up the link.
Ditto on the heads and core charges. Don't forget shipping.

Have you looked around locally? There are a bunch of shops in the Lincoln/Omaha area. There's also eBay, but that's a crap shoot.
A 350 stroked to 383 would be another possibility to consider. Find a builder 350 block, get it machined, install stroker kit. With decent aftermarket or factory heads (even Vortecs - whoa, did I say that?), you'd have a good power package.
