DFI says more injector.it cant be though "look within"
I just finished my new motor and went to the dyno and my haltech dfi told me some
wierd things. After some tuning I only ended up with 322 rwhp and 487ftlbs. Not bad tq
numbers but the hp was lower than expected. now my question is concerning my
injectors. i am running 30lb svo's and from 2900rpm to 4k I am at 85% dc then from 4k to
6k I am at 99% dc. That cant be right for the hp I am putting out. The motor is a 383,
afr heads, super ram, ported edelbrock base, everything is portmatched, 58mm t/b, cam
is an extreme energy with 224-230 dur at .050 and lift with 1.6 rocker is 535-544,at full
advance I am running 38deg ot timing,and longtube headers. I am running a 9in with 35
spline axles and locker. Now i am not sure what else can cause my injectors to be at
such high dc but my fp is at 44psi and 30lb should be good for close to 360 rwhp. Any
help would be great right now. Oh ya and I wonder why my hp numbers are so low ? I am making peek hp at 5300rpm and peak hp at 2900rpm.

I don't know jack about what you're talking about (dc?)... and correct me if I'm wrong... but on my 2.8L with 19(?)LB injectors.. isn't the FP 44? usually people bump them up to 48 for performance reasons... If I'm correct in my thinking, I'd say bump up the pressure.
Didn't the dyno place measure the O2 in the exhaust for leanness/richness. That'd tell you what's going on I would think.
If I'm totally wrong, just ignore me, otherwise maybe you'd be kind enough to set my mind straight?

The hp peak seems in the right neighborhood for the cam. The dc seems high for 30lb'ers feeding 383ci. You might want to try to raise the pressure some. Your timing seems a little high for aluminum heads, usually 34-36 works best. Did you degree in the cam, maybe it's too far advanced. Is that on a 114LSA?
I'm building a 388 and am hoping to use 24lb injectors, so I hope I didn't go too small...
Is you're fuel pressure dropping off in the higher rpm's? This would cause the dc to go up, or a restriction in the fuel line...
