Help me quick

I am almost done installing my headers and noticed that on the passenger side, the sensor has been smashed. The sensor that must check the head temp. Well, I just need to know if it is an important sensor. I might be able to fix it up a little, but it's either that or buy a new one. Does anyone know how to fix these, or wat they might be new? Oh, in case I need a new one, what is the name of the P.O.S.?

If it's up near the spark plugs it's the fan switch. If it's down near the base of the block it's the knock sensor. A stock fan switch is less than $10 I think.

doesn't really matter which one you broke you need it. replace it now before you hurt something else.
