Can installing head gaskets wrong block coolant passages?

Motor is overheating after head change and It was suggested that I might have installed the head gaskets wrong. could this cause a severe overheating problem or is there something else I could check besides valve lash and timing before I rip the engine apart again.?
sorry to keep posting but I am under severe time constraint to get it running.
any help is welcome.

Well, how could you install them wrong? It would be kind of hard to since everything lines up so easily, and there are even dowel pins to hold it down.. Do you think you could have? Did you check the new heads to see if there were any obstructions?(packing material inside maybe?! styrofoam?).. just an idea.
