MSD Distributor O-Rings
Folks,
There are two O-rings on the MSD distributor, an upper and a lower one. The upper one seems fine, but the lower one seems to get cut or broken when inserting the distributor. This has happened three times, even though I've been careful about putting it in and taking it out.
So, is the lower O-ring needed? I hope not. The upper one is fine.
Many thanks,
-Craig

Well, nevermind. I discovered that the internal of the block must be modified with chamfered bores if the O-rings are to be used.
Guess this is another case of 'if all else fails, read the instructions'!

I noticed the same thing with mine.
Also, are you running the 8366? Did you happen to notice if your rotor fit a bit loose on the shaft? On mine, it seemed like the locator tab deal was a bit too thin for the rotor, and it would turn slightly on the shaft when installed.

Yes I am, and I noticed the same thing. I tweaked the tab a bit, and that seemed to help.
