My camaro was running rich because the timing is off....
I drove the car home from the mechanic shop cuz he couldnt pass it and parked it.

Replaced the heater core the next day and now the car wont start.

The battery is fine and the lights work;the fuel pump kicks on... I'm not sure about the starter but car has been starting fine for days.

Induction system would be a handy thing to mention if you really want help. Carb,TBI,TPI and DFI can lead to different answers.

Heater core has nothing to do with not starting. Someone changing the heater core might have knocked a electrical connecton or vacuum line lose. Give it a good eyeballing over to see if all looks right.

You removed the blower motor's external housing underneath the hood to get to that 'one' bolt that lower's the housing located inside of the car, right?

Do you remember a ground being connected on the bolt closest to the distributor, on that external housing? There are quite a few grounds back there, systems ground, engine strap etc...

Double check you're work, and make sure there's nothing hanging loose back there.

You're engine is not starting, but is it at least turning over?
