I dunno about Edelbrock headers but for my install of my starter with hooker headers i had to set the header in place and **** it back towards the fender, away from the motor, and slip the starter up in there. It was a pain in the a** IMO. That's why i got a smaller corvette starter to put on there and I have to do the same thing but it doesn't take as much time and effort.

In my car (83 L69, with the BIG oval Y-pipe) it fit fine. Wouldn't start the engine (10.4:1 400) worth a crap though.

I later changed to a CVR "mini-starter", which also fit fine, and spun the 400 about twice as fast as the Delco garbage ever spun the OE 305.

I have SLP headers now instead of the TES; the CVR fits with those too. Don't know about the stock POS with those. Don't plan on finding out.

Yes. Fit fine.

You should have a couple of wires with big terminals. Those go on the big post. You will have one purple wire with a small terminal. I'll let you figure out where that one goes.

The little signal wire connects to the little allen head cap screw.

ratchet wrench worked best for me to tighten those little bad boys up, due to the lack of clearence to get a socket up in there between it and the header pipes.
