Yet another 400 SBC cam selection question...
I have 4 bolt main 400 SBC stock crank, 5.7 rods, KB Hyp. pistons 3970126 72cc heavily ported heads, with 2.02/1.60 valves, Edelbrock RPM Performer intake, Holley 750 double pumper without choke assembly etc. 1.6 aluminum full roller rockers.
Behind the motor is WC-T5.
I am going to be going to open road course track days in the car. The motor was one I had from another car. Bought the TA for a steal without motor. Probably not the most optimal motor for road course.
So my question is what cam would be optimal. I found info the stock heads without porting and 1.94/1.5 valves flowed approx. 150 int./90 ex.
What would the optimal max RPM? Now I will be beating the hell out of the car. I am definitely not wanting a 7000 RPM.

Do you know if the person who did the heads put in valvesprings that can do 7000rpm?
You might be replacing the whole valvetrain.
Is this for street at all?
I don't have any answers for you, but before some of the xspurts get on here this is some of the stuff they'll want to know.
