Does anyone have an idea?......
Service Engine light randomly goes on and off after driving the car about 10 minutes. Pulled the code and got a #32...EGR system. I have a rough idle and slight hesitation on acceleration. Sounds like the EGR valve. Put a new valve on, , reset the computer,drove the car, light came on again. A code 32 again, checked every hose for a leak and found nothing. I did a vacuum test 15 inches at idle, 18 at 2500 rpm or so. Can't find the problem. Anybody have an idea? I would greatly appreciate it.

Have you checked the EGR valve solenoid? It is a small electrical component that controls the EGR valve, check where the lines from the EGR valve go and you will see it back there right next to the EGR valve(on v8) by the distributor, has (1) electrical connection and (2) vacuum lines.

 

Changed the egr switch on my 350 tpi and got rid of the light. It shouldn't be causing idle problems though, try cleaning the throttle body with a can of gumout carb cleaner,for the rough idle.
