passenger side header glowing?

OK, got my new tranny in and took my Z out for a spin. I ran 3 good hard runs giving 8psi. Drove it right home into the garage. I turned off the lights, opened the hood and noticed my passengers side header collector was glowing red. The header was glowing red at the collector after hard excelleration.

WHY?

It was not red on the drivers side, but it was on the collector where it mates to the Y pipe? Any ideas? Timing is set at 8deg. advanced, just replaced the IAC, no codes.

You have a lean mixture.

A wide band A/F meter is an invaluable tool. With the set up you have, I highly recommend getting one. Innovate Motorsports has an affordable unit.

Good luck.

I'd also check for exhaust leaks at all connections near the engine.
