OEM is either 6mm or 7mm
but no, you won't notice any difference. however, if it's time to replace them, it can't hurt to spend the extra $5 and get a bigger set.

You may notice a slight increase in your MPG but that is about it. One of the main reasons for aftermarket wires is for radio interference supression.

i measured the impedence on a stock wire and again on an accel 8.8mm. the stock wire had almost ten times the resistance. is there a difference between stock and 8+mm wires? without a doubt. will you notice any difference between 8mm and 8.5mm. very doubtful.
