injector size
what injector size do i need for my zz 383 with accel superram the zz 383 engine specs
Specifications:
Horsepower: 425 @ 5400 RPM
Torque: 460 lb-ft @ 4500 RPM
Compression Ratio: 9.7:1
Block: Cast Iron, 4-Bolt Main, 1-piece rear main seal
Crankshaft: Forged 4340 Steel, Externally Balanced
Connecting Rod: Powdered Metal (Special ''383'' Version)
Pistons: Hypereutectic Flat top with offset pins
Camshaft: hydraulic roller, 222°/230° @ .050'', .509''/.528'' lift, 112° centerlobe

i was told it jegs that i should use 24lb injectors,but iwas thinking it might be small??

24's would do it, but i'd recomend going to 30's. they will leave much more room for future mods and be slightly easier to tune.

I'd agree there. Go with 30's and just run a little less fuel pressure than you would with 24's.

At least 30# if you ever plan to get more out of it. I'm putting 36# in my 383 and it has 460hp and 400 tq.

I just put that same crate motor w/super ram in a blazer and used 24# injectors. I felt the 30# would be just a tad too big. Idle and part throttle tune are more important to the customer than high RPM power, so that also drove my decision.

SLP makes a good inexpensive 25 lb per hr injector, Ford has a good 30. DO NOT BUY ACCELLs. they are bad.
