Weak Blower Motor?

Hello,

Recently I had to install a heater core into my 1990 RS. As you all know, I had to tear the entire console out as well as the dash in order for it to even be remotely easy to get at. I remember before I tore it all apart, the AC and heat blew fine, I never needed the max blower speed.

Now, after I replaced the heater core, it is EXTREMELY weak. I'm talking the max blower speed is about the same as my mom's Cavalier's lowest speed.

My question is, what can I check out to make sure everything is working out alright? Did I undo a vaccum line? Do I actually need a new blower motor? The AC and heat still work, just not as strong. Did I pinch a vent? It's getting rather annoying, and with Summer coming up, I need it back to normal so I can enjoy my AC.

Thanks everyone,
Steve

Nobody has a clue?

Sorry if it was a dumb question.

1. Make sure the air is blowing out of the vents you select and not out of the others. Some sort of problem with the HVAC selection system diverting some of the airflow to the wrong vents. Another possibility is that some main hose from the heater box to the stuff under the dash simply isn't connected or lined up properly.

2. The blower motor is either getting weak or isn't being supplied correct voltage by the fan control/resistor pack. That's an easy one to diagnose- unplug the blower motor power wire and temporarily run a wire directly back to the + post of the battery- this is kinda like selecting the highest fan speed on the dash selector- full power. If it suddenly blows a hurricane then you know there's something wrong with the fan speed selector switch, resistor pack, one of the relays or the wiring between it all.
