87 tpi 350 timing marks
On my '87 T/A 350 tpi should the timing marks be at the up and up position(12 and 12 o'clock)??? I have a new double roller set w/ the 3 keyway crank sprocket that I have not used yet. It's new but there are no instructions.
If it matters, with the marks in the 12 and 12 positions, the intake valve is still closing while the #1 piston is coming up. Visually it appears to working correctly though, but I wanted to make sure.
The cam is a comp cam 220/230 w/ .510" lift.
Thanks

Timing gears
cam-12 and crank-12 is correct for compression stroke, but when installing gears are easier to align when marks are facing each other; cam-6 and crank-12.
