Royal Purple is not a full synthetic. Mobil 1, Amsoil, and Redline are however. If you want to go with a full synthetic, use one of them. I use Mobil 1 personally. Do a search on the subject, its been brought up MANY times before.

There is absolutely no truth to your second statement. Oil consumption is no different between dino and synthetic oils. The only possible problem people have with synthetics, and where all these old mechanics tales come from, is people with ****ty maintenance have oil leaks all over there engine anyway, and over time the crap in their motor will plug these oil leaks. Synthetic Oils, however, do a much better job cleaning and lubricating, so they will get rid of the crap. This causes the leaks to reappear and the uniformed think the oil caused it, when in reality their engine is just old and tired. A properly maintained engine will have no trouble using synthetic oil.

I would go for AMSOIL All they way. I heard really good things about it. Once i start to get little more money im going to get that for sure. Mobil 1 is also good. Both oils do a very good job
