vibration at a certain RPM

My car starts to make a vibration like noise on acceleration and I feel it in the power of the car. It sounds like it is coming from the cat. My cat does not leak, but is it possible that it does on acceleration? and would that do it? It only does this when the car is warmed up. Its driving me crazy! Has anyone had this problem? Thought it was the driveshaft but does not happen when the car is cold, so it can't be the ds Thanks

I had the same problem for years and it turned out to be the lockup torque converter. My car had a sort of rummbling/viberating noise. I installed a non-lockup conv. and it seamed like i had just bought a new car. I got rid of all the noise and that lock, unlock BS. I have a 1984 Z28 with a 700R4. Good Luck !
