idles drop then car stalls when hot

it doesn't happen all the time but my idles and voltage dops and the car stalls when it is hot.Im replacing the alternator on sunday because i don't think it's puuting out enough voltage,What else could cause this.

Engine: L98 (350 TPI)
Transmission: MD8 (700 R4) + 3.42 LS1 Rear
Assuming that everything is in good tune plugs, wires, cap, rotor, tps adjusment, min idle air, etc.. Do you get a check engine light? I would try pulling the trouble codes first off if any and then go from there. ON mine i had a similar problem. The 02 sensor was "going bad" but not bad. Replaced it and the problem went away.

i am having the same exact prob. i think it has somethin to do with either my battery or alternator, it especially happens when i am sitting at idle and i roll the windows up or down, i see the voltage go way down and then the idle gets really eradic and everyonce in awhile it will stall,

Mine does the same thing at hot idle, I've replaced the alternator and checked the resistance of the hot wire, and re-tightened the engine grounds. Nothing seems to help so I'd be interested to know the solution as well.
