i just received my balanced scat rotating assembly. i can see marks in the crank where it appears to be balanced and i can see marks in the rods where they were balanced/clearanced. however- is there any way i can know for sure that they are in fact scat rods- unlike the crank- i dont see the word "scat" anywhere on them. just wanting to make sure i got what i paid for. the price still seems pretty low for a full internally balanced rotating assembly.

also- the pistons/rods were supposed to be full float- however when i received them- the rods were already attatched to the pistons- is that because they were most likely balanced together?

 

well- the rods/pistons are full float- i looked at them a little closer- and i can see the spiro locks- however i am still wanting to know how to tell it's a scat rod. it has the correct part number on my receipt- but i just wanna know for sure.

 

I bought some scat rods last year and they don't say scat on them anywhere. They might have said scat on the box, but I'm not even 100% sure about that.

 

well- that makes me feel a little better knowing they aren't supposed to say scat on them. i guess since the place i ordered from (midwestmotorsports1 or midwestmotorsports) has a 99% pos. feedback on ebay i should be ok- even though i ordered my kit outside of ebay
