I have a 91 t/a 305 tpi 5 speed,i keep getting this cheetering noise(for lack of better descriptions) while im driving and just idling,even in neutral,if i barely touch the clutch pedal it stops,,its a fairly loud noise that is constant,i can hear it while on the road with the windows down,,ill be damn if i can find it,,any ideas?????

 

i'd guess something inside the bell houseing, the throw out bearing would be my guess, but if you go in to it you might as well replace the clutch and preasure plate too.

In may I replaced the clutch,pressure plate,throwout bearing,rear main seal,pilot bushing and slave cylinder,I had to do it twice b/c I first bought a reman.clutch and it didnt fit right,the second time I bought an oem,,,,,,everything seemed fine until lately,Im suspecting something in the clutch also but everything seems to work fine,I sure hate the thought of pulling everything out again,,she shifts fine.no slippage when you really get on it,and goes into gears very easily,, just the recent noise,,,thanks for your thoughts,,,,,,Barry in Texas
