AC delete kit
I have noticed lots of cars with ac delete pulleys and firewall covers on their cars. Where would I go to find those parts? In a few months when I get my supercharger, plan to remove the AC simply because I don't use the car for normal daily driving anymore and don't really want the clutter caused by the AC. Just let me know where to look for the AC delete parts...
Thanks

you can also get the AC pully from GMPartsdirect.com for around 40-45 dollars...its part number 10055890....i did this, but you will also need (should use) the original bolts for the pully that you might be able to get from you local dealer

...you can get the non-AC box on the classifieds or through Ebay. They come up for sale pretty regularly.

A note about the AC Delete boxes though. I got one from ebay for $10. But I have seen them gor for as high as $160. They are also pretty easy to make out of fiberglass as well. I made two out of fiberglass.

After looking at ebay and the TGO classifieds, I started thinking about it a little more and sort of figured I don't need an AC delete heater box cause I don't have any heat right now anyway. When my heater core started to leak I simply disconnected the hoses and rerouted everything to eliminate it. Then when I installed an aftermarket aluminum radiator and installed a new engine, I completely did away with the heat. I haven't missed it. So I think I will just totally remove HVAC and make a plate to cover the hole in the firewall out of sheet aluminum or steel.
What do you all think? Good idea on the total removal of HVAC. Bear in mind this will be a second car used mostly for fun. I am getting a new truck pretty soon so I will have a daily driver with luxuries...

Not a bad idea. I know a few people are running no HVAC and they have custom block off plates.
I choose to keep heat for now. It still gets chilly in the mornin while cruising to some early season shows!!!

just don't forget that if you get rid of the blower motor, you lose your defroster. the defroster is your friend.
